This recipe makes a very satisfying snack. You can also get your oatmeal fix! This vegan banana bread contains no oil, butter, eggs or any diary, so it’s a guilt free and healthy alternative to the traditional banana bread. Enjoy!


  • 3 cups gluten free rolled oats (will be blended)
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats (not blended)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 4 large ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped up dates
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup walnuts

Additional Ingredients

  • maple extract
  • raw vegan chocolate chips
  • ground up flax seed


  1. Blend oats in the blender until they look like flour (should make 2 cups).
  2. Add other dry ingredients and mix. Mix all wet ingredients in seperate bowl.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing until just combined.
  4. Fold in the walnuts and cut up dates.
  5. Dough should be like a thick pancake batter.
  6. Pour the batter into a bread pan (non-stick or with a baking sheet underneath).
  7. Bake for an 60 – 70 minutes at 350  degrees Fahrenheit
  8. Check regularly, poke with a knife to ensure it is cooked
  9. Let cool 20 minutes
